Kakao Healthcare said it has signed a business agreement with Caring, a Korean senior care specialist company, to develop a customized health management model for senior housing facilities.

Under the agreement, the two companies will utilize PASTA, Kakao Healthcare’s blood glucose management solution, at Caring-operated senior housing facilities, which are facilities designed for individuals aged 60 to 65 and older that provide housing and various lifestyle services, including medical facility linkage, community programs, fitness and convenience facilities, and recreational activities.
The partnership aims to establish a comprehensive health management system for senior housing residents, integrate hospital-linked personal health record (PHR)-based care, and develop a tailored medical collaboration framework for elderly residents.
As part of a pilot program, PASTA will first be introduced at Caring Stay, an urban paid senior care residence. The companies will develop a systematic health indicator management system to facilitate hospital-linked medical services. Additionally, they plan to refine the digital healthcare solution based on resident feedback and expand its application to nationwide senior residential facilities operated by Caring, including daycare centers and home-visit care centers.
“Through this collaboration with Kakao Healthcare, we can significantly enhance the health management system for our senior housing residents,” Caring CEO Kim Tae-sung said. “We will continue to strengthen our partnership in medical infrastructure to ensure that individuals can receive efficient healthcare services based on personal health data.”
Kakao Healthcare CEO Hwang Hee also said, “PASTA is a service that helps manage personal health information, including blood glucose levels, diet, weight, exercise, medication, and sleep, and the company expects it will contribute significantly to improving seniors’ lifestyle habits and managing chronic diseases.”
Moving forward, the company will continue expanding customized health management models using PASTA, Hwang added.
